E.T. FAIL

Posted in video games on March 5, 2008 by underpaidnerd

I was thinking earlier today about the worst video game I have ever played, and I thought for a while and remember that ancient piece of shit for the Atari 2600 called E.T. Worst fucking game ever. If you ever got stuck in a put, forget it, you might as well reset the game because you are never getting out of it. So I googled it and saw that Tom’s Hardware actually reviewed it lately. The story is pretty in-depth and after reading it, I was only more angered by the fact that the game was almost a no go. My favorite line from the article is this:

“Currently, a small group of students from Auburn University in Alabama are working on a documentary, titled “E.T.’s March,” that will “unearth” the story behind E.T. the game and the cartridge graveyard in New Mexico. As the group’s Web site states, “E.T.’s fate stands as a reminder of what can happen when video games go wrong.” Indeed.”

Here’s some fast-paced in-game footage.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game

Here’s a video from the upcoming Ghostbusters game slated for the PC, PS2, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, and the Nintendo DS. As you can see, this may be the greatest work of art since the mona lisa was painted. That, or the salt stain that looks like the Virgin Mary under the Fullterton overpass on Western Ave. Either way, here’s the video.

And after you’re done creaming yourself, here’s the link to the official page.

P.S. Don’t cross the fucking streams.
